Includes: (1) Crankshaft Key Description: The Crankshaft Pulley Key (also called a Woodruff Key) is the small, half circle shaped piece that fits into the crankshaft in order to hold the crankshaft pulley and gears in position. Sold individually. This is the genuine, original equipment (OEM) key. Note: Crankshaft Keys only need to be replaced when worn/broken or on the specific pulley/gears that you are removing. For instance, on an L-Series engine you would only need to purchase one of these keys if you are replacing your factory crankshaft pulley with one of our performance dampers; however, you should replace all three when installing one of our timing kits since the timing chain sprocket is closest to the block. Quantity Required: (3) Crankshaft Pulley, Oil Pump Drive Gear, Timing Chain Gear, 70-83 (1) Crankshaft Pulley/Timing Belt Gear, 84-3/87* (2) Crankshaft Pulley, Timing Belt Gear, 4/87*-89 (2) Crankshaft Pulley, Timing Belt Gear, 90-96 (1) Crankshaft Pulley/Timing Chain Gear, 03-15 *1987 Note: Nissan changed the block design during the 1987 model year to the 'W-Series'. Officially, this happened in April of 1987; however, we have seen some cars that don't match up to this (a common thing with Nissan). Among other changes, the W-Series has a longer nose on the crankshaft and a second pulley key. If you are not able to verify whether you have a W-Series engine or not, we recommend purchasing 2 of these keys to make sure you have enough.
