Nissan only offers this panel as a complete assembly with the trim bezel and shift boot pre-installed with little in the way of customizations available (all of which can be quite expensive). While this makes installing a factory replacement easier, it is also much more expensive to purchase an OEM replacement. These custom made trim covers are manufactured using high-quality, automotive-grade materials, feature color matched thread for a sleek appearance*, and are available in traditional black grained, unique brushed aluminum look, custom carbon fiber pattern vinyl options, as well as these genuine leather options (see Related Items for vinyl options). Leather pieces such as this trim are a fantastic way to add a touch of elegance to your Z! Image Note: The image shows an artist rendition of the black vinyl version of this shifter trim cover already installed into the factory shifter trim. The trim you receive will be made of genuine leather and will match the color option that you choose below. Thread Note: Nissan originally chose to use contrasting thread colors on several 370Z interior panels (white, red, or yellow depending on model specifics). These custom trim covers have a great look, instead using similar color thread to the color of the trim you choose! Installation Note: Installation of this trim cover requires removal of the shift boot. If you need a replacement for your boot, we recommend purchasing both this trim and the boot together to avoid going through the same steps more than once. See Related Items for shift boot options. **Persimmon/Burnt Orange Notes: Nissan offered a unique interior option named 'Burnt Orange' in the 350Z. This color was renamed to 'Persimmon' with the introduction of the 370Z. We have confirmed that these colors are one and the same, and even share the same internal color code at Nissan. Many of the images we have for the different 350Z Burnt Orange/370Z Persimmon parts were taken with different cameras and lighting. It is near impossible to get true representations on all of them that match the human eye. We have physically compared all of our 350Z Burnt Orange and 370Z Persimmon product lines, and are confident that the factory and aftermarket colors are an excellent match.
