Available again! Nissan recently brought these shift knobs back into production after they were discontinued some time ago. Includes: (1) 'nismo' Type 2* Aluminum Shift Knob, Black (1) 'nismo' Logo 5-Speed Shift Pattern Decal (1) 'nismo' Logo 6-Speed Shift Pattern Decal Description: These Aluminum NISMO shift knobs have a 10mm thread to fit the stock shifter lever, a gloss black finish, and the updated NISMO logo engraved on the side. They look great in every Z-Car! Includes 'nismo' logo shift pattern decals for five and six speed configurations. *Logo Note: Nissan updated the logo on most NISMO items around 2009 to the "Type 2" version (as we refer to it). As shown in the image, it features all lowercase letters and the "open" letter "O" in the same font as the rest of the word 'nismo'. The previous (Type 1) version had a solid circle in place of the letter "O". OEM Knob Removal Note: Nissan applied a type of thread locker to late model Z-Car shift levers from the factory. While it does an amazing job of ensuring the original knob does not spin out of place over time, it also makes removal rather difficult. 350Z and later model owners should take extreme care when removing the original shift knob to prevent damage to it. Additionally, the shift lever itself should also be secured to prevent it from twisting on these models, which can result in transmission damage in severe cases. Application Note: This shift knob will fit on any Z-Car manual transmission fitted with a 10mm shift lever, including early Z's fitted with one of our Short Throw Shifter Kits. The Genuine NISMO Aluminum Shift Knobs only come in one of two solid finish options: Chrome or Gloss Black. The logo is always engraved on the side of these knobs, and they always come with both 5 and 6 speed decals which feature the matching logo (in color). Aside from the special GT knobs, all Genuine NISMO shift knobs thread directly on to the shift lever; they do not use any sort of adapter for installation. Model Guide: Nissan 300ZX, 350Z, 370Z, Nissan Z® Model Restriction: For models currently equipped with a manual transmission with 10mm thread shift lever only. Will not fit on models currently equipped with an 8mm thread shift lever or any automatic transmission.
