Description:The hoses of the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system are known to dry out, harden, and eventually crack, split, or fall apart. A split hose can lead to a check engine light in the best of cases or debris getting into the engine in the worst case (which can lead to oil contamination and eventually internal damage). It is best to inspect these hoses periodically and replace them if they start to harden or develop any sort of surface wear. This genuine, original equipment (OEM) hose connects the PCV Valve (located on the right rocker cover) to the intake plenum, allowing moisture and harmful gasses to be safely burned off.
